Basic conditions and necessary materials:
1. formal admission certificate: hold the admission notice issued by Chongqing University and provide the jw201/jw202 form issued by the Ministry of Education (assisted by the University) to prove that you have been officially admitted by Chongqing University.
2. valid passport: your passport should be valid for more than 6 months and have at least 2 blank visa pages to ensure the validity of your travel document during your study in China.
3. visa application form and photos: complete the visa application form of the people’s Republic of China, and attach the recent 48mm × 33mm white background color certificate photo. The photo must meet the visa application specifications.
4. health certificate: to apply for X1 long-term study visa, you usually need to submit the foreigner physical examination record of physical examination in the designated institution; X2 whether the medical examination is required for the short-term study visa, please confirm according to the requirements of the embassy and consulate.
5. proof of financial ability: provide bank deposit certificate or sponsor guarantee materials to prove that you have enough funds to pay tuition and living expenses in China and ensure financial support during your study.
6. certificate of no criminal record (applicable to visa x1): applicants from some countries need to provide a certificate of no criminal record certified by notarization and the Chinese embassy or consulate. It is recommended to confirm whether the country they are in is listed in advance.
Additional materials that may be required:
• proof of language proficiency: HSK scores may be required to apply for Chinese courses; For English courses, IELTS/TOEFL scores may be required, depending on the major.
• Guardian documents: minor applicants are required to submit notarized materials of guardians in China to ensure proper guardianship arrangements during their stay in China.
• insurance certificate: in some cases, you need to purchase medical insurance during your stay in China to protect your health and safety.
1. application for admission: the application was completed through the international student enrollment channel of Chongqing University, and the admission qualification was successfully obtained.
2. prepare visa materials: after receiving the admission notice and jw201/jw202 form issued by the University, prepare other visa application materials as required.
3. submission of application: submit the prepared materials to Chinese embassies and consulates abroad or visa centers to apply for visa X1 or x2.
4. post entry procedures (only applicable to visa x1): within 30 days of entering China, you need to go to the exit Entry Administration Bureau of Chongqing Public Security Bureau to apply for a residence permit, and the required materials include the relevant documents and physical examination reports issued by the school.
• material translation and notarization: all non Chinese and English documents need to be notarized and professionally translated to ensure the validity and readability of the materials.
